The nature of my intervention is mainly based on a form of therapy known as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. This form of therapy rests on the knowledge that thought, emotion and behaviour mutually influence each other. The goal of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy is to change self-defeating thought and behaviour patterns to promote growth and development.

Cognitive-behavior therapy

The role of the therapist consists, among other things, in informing and teaching various methods of relaxation, problem solving and/or assertiveness and communication skills. The process is above all a collaborative endeavor between therapist and client.

This form of therapy may be of a shorter or longer term according to the client's particular needs and wishes.
